Amrita Rao's unrevealed talent

Not many people know that Amrita Rao has a talent for singing, too.

Before her film career began, Amrita was deeply into Indian classical music. In fact, she claims to have trained in classical music for a couple of years. However, when she stepped in Bollywood, her passion for music took a back seat.

Speaking about her taste in music, Amrita says she was never fond of western pop music or rock bands. She has always been a lover of Hindi film music and believes that even if some composers lift tunes from western pop, they only enhance the original compositions.

Any plans for cutting a music album of her own?

"Not right now," says Amrita. But she adds she would love to sing a few of her own songs in films if given a chance.

For the time being, Amrita is basking in the success of her latest movie Vivah. She is nowadays working in director E. Niwas’s movie 'My Name is Anthony Gonsalves' in which she plays a Catholic girl working in film industry. Amrita has also signed David Dhawan’s next movie Hook Ya Crook
