Shahid's 'Vivah' with Amrita Rao

Though Shaahid Kapoor has been distancing himself from the media for quite some time following rumors about his personal life in it, he does confession that he is no longer alone. He says, "Kareena Kapoor's entry into my personal life has added self-confidence in me, and I don't feel incomplete as I used to feel earlier." Shaahid recalls his meeting with Kareena during the shooting of 'Fida'. "I found her frank and sincere and very special during the chat. She is just opposed to what she is described as chirpy, naughty and proud.

Though I am busy in my career yet I remember her all the time. We may not marry in the next five years but we enjoy watching cinema, visiting discos and eating together. In fact, we have developed a deep understanding among ourselves. (Possibly, he is referring to this in the context of reports of their publicly lip locking at a restaurant in Mumbai.) I remember our holidaying in Dubai where we were together but never let down our standard of expressing love to each other.

I am grateful to God for gifting me a friend like Kareena." Despite his intense love for his lady love Kareena Kapoor, Shaahid desires to live life his own way and without caring for the media. Shaahid is excitedly waiting for his new releases like Mahesh Manjrekar's 'Vaah Life Ho Toh Aisi' and Sooraj Barjatya's 'Vivah', besides others. Regarding his working with Amrita Rao in several films in the recent past, Shaahid says that it's because the industry has found both of them good and rising stars. He doesn't want the media to smell any other thing like a common chemistry between the two. Despite keeping a distance, he had a chat recently with a section of the media.

Why are you trying to avoid media though it speaks high of you?

I am accustomed to live my life my way. But the media indulges in gossips about all stars, not only about me. It's more interested in inquiring about my family whereas I am presently concentrating on my career.

Which are your next releases?

They are 'Shikhaar', 'Vaah Life Ho Toh Aisi' and 'Shikhar'.

How come there aren't in the news?

Yes, their publicity and promos are taking time.

Who are starring in these movies?

In 'Vaah Life Ho Toh Aisi' you will find Sanjay Dutt and Amrita Rao. In 'Shikhar', the cast comprises Ajay Devgan, Amrita Rao and Bipasha Basu.

Aren't you doing 'Vivah' of Sooraj Barjatya?

Yes, I am doing it.

Haven't you become Sooraj Barjatya's next love?

No, it's not so. Salman continues to enjoy that status. However, I am proud of working in his place.

What about 'Vivah'? Who is playing along with you?

Amrita Rao is there.

Both of you have been working together in several movies. What's the chemistry between both of you?

Nothing of the sort. Maybe the industry considers both of us as its rising stars.

But what about your relationship with Kareena? Are you going to marry with her soon?

We are good friends. This is too early to talk about the marriage.

Hello Amrita,
I just wanted to let you know about my impression of you. Ever since watching you in MHN, I wanted to know more about you. This cite helped quite a bit. Then I saw Vivah and that just blew my mind. I am known in my family and friends as a honest and a truthful person. I'm not kissing up in any way by praising you. I just wanted to say that after knowing about some of the background of the type of family you come from and the values that you believe in, I think that it makes you almost into a perfect person. Ofcourse, nobody is perfect but it's as close as anyone can get, like my parents. Only a person that also comes from the same family-values background as yours' can identify with you. To make the long story short, after watching Vivah, I hope that I can find a girl just like you to get married with. Because I think that I relate with Prem's character a lot. One who is not selfish, changes his habbits when advised by loved ones, etc. I wish you all the best and please do hope that I do find someone like you (the real Amrita), not only the looks but also with the right mindset as yours. It's the inner person that counts because the outside will change but the inside does not. Looks are just "sone pe suhaga". Take care.
